STRENGTHENING ARTS & COMMUNITY

Ten Years of Impact

Cuyahoga County residents have made a substantial investment in the expansion and longevity of our community’s vast arts and culture organizations. More than 60 million people have attended CAC partner events since 2007, with 54% of those events offering free attendance.

Over the past 10 years, Cuyahoga Arts & Culture has distributed $158 million in public funds to 350 cultural partners, making it the area’s largest local funder of arts and culture. CAC’s annual general operating support and project support investment is one of the largest in the nation — larger than the amount many leading national foundations earmark for arts and culture annually.

Since CAC’s inception, local investment in arts and culture from private foundations has not dwindled. CAC support has been a net positive for the region, augmenting existing funding and serving as an endorsement that allows our cultural partners to secure new funding from other sources.
