In November 2015, Cuyahoga County residents said “yes” to arts and culture in our community.
By overwhelmingly supporting Issue 8, a levy which extended the penny-and-a-half cigarette tax dedicated to arts and culture, our community sent a clear message that Cuyahoga County is a place where creativity and a connection to arts and culture are valued. This renewal provides Cuyahoga Arts & Culture with 10 additional years to invest millions in our arts and culture sector and support thousands of events each year.
When voters first approved CAC’s dedicated funding in 2006, we promised to put public dollars to work in every corner of the county. We’ve delivered. Cuyahoga County is now one of the top public funders of arts and culture in the country.
